Should Christians study the stars?

Should Christians study the stars?
I would like to get your feedback of Gen 1:14 - ..let them be for signs. And also knowing David was a star gazer and Solomon knew there was a time for everything under the sun. The planets and stars (sun)relates to time. Also Daniel being the chief over the astrologers. My point is, why can't christian obtain the wisdom of the timing like solomon but not use it for evil or to plan your daily lives.
